Lance Corporal Derek Derenalagi inspires Fijian athletes

Military Speaker Lance Corporal Derek Derenalagi inspires Fijian athletes as they prepare for the Wallis and Futuna Pacific Mini Games. Derenalagi represented Team GB at the Paralympic Games in London in the men's F57-58 discus.

Team Fiji athletes preparing for the Wallis and Futuna Pacific Mini Games were given an inspiring key note address by Great Britain Paralympian and Military Speaker Lance Corporal Derek Derenalagi on Saturday 12th January.

Derenalagi told those present that they need to have a champion attitude and never give up.

The Assembly was attended by officials and aspiring athletes of the eight sports to participate at the games.

Other presenters included, Chairman of theFASANOC Medical Commission Dr Eddie McCaig, Australian-based Sports Psychologist Vijay Kumar and FASANOC President Vidhya Lakhan.
