Military Speakers' Captain Anthony Harris leads the Race 2 Recovery Team at the Dakar Rally

A team of wounded servicemen, that included Military Speakers' Captain Anthony Harris, have arrived in Peru ahead of the infamous Dakar Rally that starts on 5th January 2013.

Triple amputee Corporal Tom Neathway, who stepped on a I.E.D in Afghanistan fours years ago, will join Captain Anthony Harris as part of the Race 2 Recovery team competing in the 'Rally Raid' event.

Should this group be successful in achieving this remarkable feat they will become the first team of amputees to complete the gruelling 6000 mile race and in doing so will raise over 1 million pounds for the Services Recovery Centre at Tedworth House, Wiltshire.

The Dakar rally will begin in Peru's capital, Lima this Saturday before passing through Argentina and finishing in Chile on the 19th January 2013.
